  • Infrared Sauna

    What is Infrared?

An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses light to make heat. A regular sauna uses heat to warm the air, which warms your body. An infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you. An infrared sauna gives results at lower temperatures than a regular sauna. This makes an infrared sauna a choice for people who can’t stand the heat of a sauna.

    Who would benefit?

Athletes, wellness enthusiasts, and weekend warriors looking to soothe muscle aches, joint stiffness and accelerate recovery time. Also, those experiencing chronic pain, seasonal affective disorder, and anxiety will benefit from the environment of the sauna.

  • Medical Weight Loss

At Burds Family Practice we offer a semaglutide (Wegovy) and a tirzepatide (Zepbound) for medical weight loss medication.

Both Wegovy and Zepbound offer promising options for individuals struggling with obesity or overweight providing effective weight loss in conjunction with lifestyle modifications such as diet and exercise. However, it's essential for patients to discuss with their healthcare providers to determine the most appropriate treatment option based on their individual needs and medical history.

Direct Primary Care

With a flat monthly fee, you get unlimited visits, same-day appointments, and direct access to your provider — no insurance hassles.

  • Direct primary care (DPC) is a business model that allows primary care providers to offer their services directly to their patients—without an insurance company in the middle—in exchange for a monthly or annual fee.

The membership fee allows the patient to access a variety of primary care, including consultations, exams, care coordination, and some lab services, without paying any additional fees at the time of service.

The elimination of out-of-pocket costs at the time of service means people are less likely to avoid seeking care due to cost. This enables providers to address their patient’s primary care needs as soon as they arise.

Because providers don’t need to worry about whether a patient’s insurer will cover telehealth services, most direct primary care memberships allow patients to access care via phone calls, email, or video chats, all of which can be more efficient and convenient than in-person consultations, depending on the situation.

  • Annual physicals, sick visits and testing (flu, strep, UTI, etc), annual labs (other labs at significant discount), stitches, simple dermatology, medication management (we will help you find best prices on medications).

  • This is when your High Deductible Health Insurance plan kicks in. This is typically linked to an HSA account, where money has been saved for this type of situation.
